We found out yesterday that we shall be getting a new multiplayer map in Splatoon today which is titled Flouder Heights. The map will be added to the rotation at 7pm PT but the folks over at GameXplain managed to get a taster of the strategic map before its released to consumers this evening. As you can see the ink based action is going to be as swift and frantic as always.

This level is not what it sounded like. The article made it sound like there was an apartment complex in them middle of the map that you had to either go through, or up and over. I didn’t see any damn apartment complex except for in the background.
Honestly this map looks like every other map in the game with a different background. Just platforms and ramps. Very disappointed. Don’t understand why they can put a few more natural looking maps in the game. I wanted to see a real apartment complex. Where you actually could go into the rooms and see fully furnished living spaces… That would have been the shit. Oh well, never believe what you read..
Can’t wait to play this map. Hopefully it’s on the line-up when I go online… XD
If you want what FPS games have in their maps, then go play those games. The main idea behind Splatoon is outdoor splatfest and not hide elsewhere and ambush. If you’ve even played Splatoon you already know why the maps are like that.
