It’s still way cheaper than an XBONE or PS4 with nothing but the system, and the bundles come with game/s, and stuff.
And has far less features and games than fucking 3DS that’s only $200 or less. That’s embarrassing enough for a $300 system that’s barely a step up from last gen specs and Wii’s actual “innovative” terms..oh and gaming library in general.
Speaking of PS4, I decided not to go for it and stay with PS3. I’m not paying another $50 for online when I’m already paying $50-60 A MONTH for Internet service, most of its games are on PC which my upgraded Surface Pro 3 can run half of it and many last gen gems plus indies like Freedom Planet, has no backward compatibility (PSNow and it’s ridiculous ass pricing doesn’t cut it) and now I just found out that USB Media play is absent from PS3 which I can connect a USB drive and play/copy any file and play them in the system like music and movies.
Wii U had 1 price cut….was $350 at launch now is $300, thats a fair price, and you just want them to sell at a loss again.
They’re already losing even before the first price cut and yes, second drop is necessary by gamer demand and overdue. 10 million in half its life time is not good at all nor convincing that no price dropping at this point is a good idea.
I will say this. A price cut would actually be a food thing. Because most of Nintendo’s profits come from Amiibo and Game sales. The more consoles out there, the more games and Amiibo will be sold and the more profit Nintendo will make. So, in actuality, Stranga might be onto something.

Why gloat about how all your profit comes from selling just one or two games instead of selling the consoles at a profit but refusing to cut the price of your console so you can sell more of them & thus sell more games that will make the sacrifice of a profit off the console worth it in the long run?

I don’t want to be that guy but we said something similar before the release of Mario Kart 8 AND Super Smash Bros for Wii U. And where are we at right now? Still under 15 million units which is pathetic after being out for what will be 3 years now once November hits. Let’s hope the lineup of games that starts in late November fixes things but I won’t hold my breathe. I’d be dead by now if I did that for every other time someone said that game would save the Wii U.

This game is not a system seller, I mean, it has some pretty features, but I think this is aimed to hardcore Nintendo Fans, who are the ones that ALREADY have a Wii U.
Dammit, I would have bought this bundle if it was a physical copy of the game included. I want to buy my parents a Wii U just for a few things, I know they won’t use 90% of its features except the video chat and video streaming and maybe Wii Fit and a few other things. So I figured I’d keep the game and get them a Wii U for $60 cheaper essentially. But nope, pre-installed / download copy. So much for that. I can do the Splatoon bundle but I can see myself making much more time for SMM, not so much for Splatoon (as fun as I hear it is). I hate how everything’s going digital, and from the sounds of it NX may be going that way exclusively.

Just use the download code on your WiiU… It usually isn’t pre-installed to the system and just comes with a e-code. Splatoon is SUPER fun, and a game I’ll pick up and play atleast every other night. Never thought I would be into it as I am. Online play and mechanics of the game are great, especially with all the upgraded content. Hope they add a dozen or so more levels, as all the ones so far have been quirky and fun. Who would’ve thought playing as a squidling would be as fun as its turned out?
Hmm…. *thinking, thinking* No thank you. 300 bucks for a Wii U & Super Mario Maker isn’t worth my money. Besides, I’ve already paid 300 once before for the drowning console so I’ll just go for a refurbished Wii U from the NA Nintendo online store… and 60 bucks for Super Mario Maker is too much as I’d rather pay 50 bucks for it then pay another 10 bucks to bypass the 9 day on-disc locked content bullshit. So no thank you, Nintendo.
