Ensuring that 2015 is packed with gaming fun for everyone, Nintendo announces a robust lineup of games and special offers for the remainder of the year. The Wii U home console and the Nintendo 3DS family of portable systems will showcase a huge number of games, most of which are exclusive to those platforms.

I really really hope miyamoto really improved on starfox….cause some of aesthetics are just disappointing.
Miyamoto… Expect something reasonable from him is less probable than ride a dead horse from Seattle to Miami.
Poor Platinum Games, which hands were tied in this project.
I really hope online multiplayer was added… other wise it’s a no go for me.
(I’m getting Really tired of the disappointment by this company.)
pretty lackluster year if you ask me. Really isn’t any titles that are known to be huge sellers.
Sadly true. :/
1st of all, Starfox Zero looks great, your eyes are broken and over used to seeing realistic CGI cutscenes. 2nd of all Miyamoto only does amazing games. (Minus Wii music) but we can forgive that one.
Just… wow.
Sweetness! SMM and SFZ HYPEEE! Also, Tri Force Heroes MEGA HYYYYYPEE

I loved the way starfox looked an the E3 demo was a 6 months old build of the game
“the E3 demo was a 6 months old build of the game”
Do we have hard evidence proving that?
Uh no, Starfox Zero was in the works for 6 YEARS secretly with Miyamoto working on it. He said it was originally going to be on Wii, but ultimately didn’t and came to Wii U instead, it’s a Pikmin 3 situation basically.
It definitely looks like a Wii game so I can believe Miyamoto has been working on it for that long.
So in the end the new Fatal Frame is digital only. I can’t believe it.
Only in the US, in Europe you can get it but it’s expensive due to the extra crap they put in. Awesome crap but still crap you can only look at.
When they localize a game and make it only digital download, it’s because they aren’t sure how it will sell in that region; they aren’t willing to take a lost at mast production with CD’s. It cost them a lot to do physical copies and if people don’t buy them, it’s a lot of money. Like, if 10 stores order 100 copies of the game, that’s 1000 copies. If only 5 stores sell each 100, the other 500 sit and aren’t sold. They lost out on money.
Yet Reggie was aware of people begging for it, and Koei Techmo said they wouldn’t make the same mistake again of not localizing it….while this is a step in the right direction it’s just plain lazy and lame.
It’s an extremely smart move on Nintendo’s part to make Fatal Frame digital only.
It’s a very niche horror game and anyone who wants to play it will download it and play it, it’s that simple. It may sell a few hundred thousands and that’s it.
Fuck! I did not wanted to be digital only. It should not have been brought at all if it was like this!
It’s a business move because the game isnt popular like that in the West.
And Japan as well. LMFAO!
The most disappointing thing on this list. I really don’t know what to do. Maybe I’ll just get the pal special edition version.
They said it at E3 a that it was an the people Nintendo had in their VIP section also asked Nintendo reps an they said it was a very old version of the game

Big Yarn Yoshi. Are you satisfied now America? You got something exclusive.
ugh fatal frame is digital only seriously?! why?! nobody likex digital only nintendo
except people who find it easier to just press a button instead of having to switch discs… future will have no physical copy, it is worthless
man people are that lazy just put on a disc now a days XD
Is it not easier to just have a game download to your house, without going to a store and then also just having the game at your finger tips? You know, there used to be no remote for a TV, and there were assholes saying, “People are that lazy to get up and change the channel nowadays”…
cuz driving is soooo hard work XD look dude im sure their are benefits for digital what kind of gamer doesn’t like a good game case that they can put on their shelves and show off how many games u got XD
I think having plastic cases of games or movies on your shelf is a waste of space. And to not buy a game that may be good because you can’t have the case beyond dumb.
hey imma still buy fatal frame regardless but that doesn’t mean i can’t be disappointed about not having a retail release but u know its who i am i love game cases always have
some won’t buy at all. Disappointing, maybe, but whatever. I am still unsure what the gameplay is like, so not sure I am buying myself
i love fatal frame series and i been waiting for this game to be in the us so day 1 for me
I loved Fatal Frame since I played the first one on the Playstation 2. When I heard Nintendo got ownership of the IP I became very excited. It was like one of those dream relationships that make your life better, but the games never came to the states. Always NTSC-U and PAL. Then the Wii U came out and I thought, Fatal Frame would be awesome on the Gamepad, and then they announced it for the Wii U. We finally get it! But it’s only digital, while the others get a pretty nice physical release. It’s like a slap in the face.
it really is :/ im still hoping for nintendo to change that
Hah. Don’t hold your breathe. Nintendo of America is too cheap & greedy to help with the bill for releasing physical copies of Fatal Frame. You’re more likely to get a Fatal Frame amiibo than a physical copy of the game.
I CAN HOPE CAN I !!!!! XD
lol Sure… as long as you don’t hold your breathe while you’re hoping. You might kill yourself doing both.
wow this late :P
Yep. This late. Been gaming on my n3DS the past week. It’s nice to have three games I haven’t beaten (Samurai Warriors Chronicles 3, Etrian Odyssey Untold: The Millennium Girl, Etrian Odyssey 2 Untold: The Fafnir Knight) & one game I don’t mind replaying even after I’ve beaten it and have every unlockable and achievement accomplished since there are many outfits I can view the characters wearing in the in-game engine cutscenes (Xenoblade Chronicles 3D.)
Ooh nice!
I’m with you Dark Ingmasher. This is seriously disappointing. I was really hoping for the physical copy to come here. I don’t see how they make physical copies for the PAL version with a special edition but they don’t just change the region so that we can buy it here in America. I’m sure several fans would have wanted the physical copy instead. Even so we get it only $10 cheaper which I could have used to ship it from the UK with a different region lock.
im still steamed about it XD
Remember though, it’s a LIMITED Physical release in Europe. Which means that most people aren’t getting a physical copy anyway. It’s better, but not by that much.
You’re right, but that’s at least a chance I wish I had here. It makes getting the PAL version harder too. To be honest, I usually miss out on these things.
Hype already!
No Fatal Frame for me.
I was hoping fatal frame would be retail, but i will down load, and for fifty bucks, i will take it.
Just no, why fatal frame have to be digital only here i don’t know if buy it or no just because i will probably need to by the extra memory for it
I am upset about it being digital only too because I’m a collectionist but at least we get it 10 bucks cheaper than the standard retail price and I will still purchase it because I’m starving for a good survival horror game but damn it still hurts though……smh
I was also really starving for a good survival horror especially Fatal Frame, but this is just so disappointing. I really am upset about this. For those $10 they could have made them region locked for America in the UK and I could have just spent the money on shipping it over here. Why can’t this be a reality now? There’s a PAL special edition version and we get nothing but something we have to download on our drives. It does hurt paidenthusiast. It hurts a lot. I… I probably won’t buy it… Unless I figure out a way to play the PAL version. I don’t know.
Good point bro
That Mario bros U pack has been out like for a year or two! Why are they renouncing it?
The New Super Mario Bros U/New Super Luigi U combo pack was only available as a digital download code when you bought the 32GB Wii U model while you could only buy both games together physically is if you bought them separately now for the first time you’ll be able to purchase both games together most likely on one disc for $59.99
You could get them both on the same disk before, I saw one at a used game store (in NA).
That NSMBU combo pack has been out for a while now, I saw one at a used game store.
Yep not getting fatal frame as well because of digital only. I will wait for a deal on it on the eshop. I am a collector as well and if someone wants to borrow the game I can’t simply hand it to them and I’m sure as hell not giving them my whole system. I’m done with games once they will be all digital.
I wanted to play this game so much. I was so happy when they said they would release it here in the states, but now I’m just so sad about it. I will forget this feeling eventually, and once I see it on the eShop I’ll just be sad again and ignore it. I thought that when they released a Special Edition PAL version, that the US would certainly get a physical copy, but we get nothing. Just $10 and digital content.
WOW a lot news from Nintendo. I’m kinda sad that it was not deliver on a Nintendo Direct I hope they still continue doing them in the future :O(
Iwata is dead. There’s no hope for Nintendo yet?
Mega Yarn Yoshi is $39.99? A bit too pricey IMO, I’ll probably just get one of the (adorable :3) smaller ones.
Also,!still not sure if I’ll get Pokemon Super Mystery Dungeon or not, it depends if they announce a new main Pokemon soon.
I want fatal frame just to prove people still like this genre. Other than that Xenoblade is the only other day one for me unless they offer something to pick the others up day one. Mgs5 comes out next week and I am likely to ride that hype train for a while.
I want to support this game too, and in the states, so that we can get the same treatment that Japanese and PAL users get. It just sucks that buying a digital copy I don’t want is the only way to do it. We were never even given a chance to prove our support before. Did the EU have their chance already?
Sadly, some idiots won’t get this game because it’s digital only. So if we don’t get future Fatal Frame games in the US, we can blame those people for ruining it for the rest of us. If this game does exceptionally well, I’m sure the next Fatal Frame will release physically.
still don’t get the digital hate… people gotta wake up.
Some people just like to collect things & apparently have too much room to spare. I can appreciate that to a degree.
There is no reason not to hate digital. If there is a game I really want and its only coming out as a download (especially when other regions get a disc release) then I have every right to be pissed off about it. Its not just a matter of “collectibility”, its the fact that people are being denied the option to buy a physical release and being forced to go through the hassle of a digital only copy where as other regions are given the option to choose. Many times the “collect” aspect of physical releases is usually at the very bottom of why people want them, there are many other reasons people prefer traditional way. I certainly will never feel inclined to give any company my money if they are so lazy/cheap that they can not even afford to do a limited physical run of a game. Hell if freaking kickstarter games can do physical copies, there is no excuse big companies cant. I will spend my time and money elsewhere on games that their creators do care enough about them to do a real copy of the game.
I love the Frame/Zero series ever since it first released, but there is no way in hell I am going to feel indebted to “support the series”, by paying for a download only version of the game. Its blatantly obvious NoA doesn’t give a shit about the series or its fans in NA or else they would have at least done some kind of limited physical release Hell the fact that Bayonetta 2 got a 2-disc release over there just proves that an extremely niche title like that can be sold.
In fact I would say the only reason NoA is even releasing the game at all on the eShop is just because Japan and Europe are getting it and they wanted to find the easiest way to make some cash on it without doing hardly any actual investment in it so they are basically just throwing it up on the eShop as a cash grab so no one can argue about them not releasing it in NA.
Its especially insulting because if another company like Atlus or NISA had handled the localization for Fatal Frame then we most certainly would have not only gotten a real copy of the game, but more then likely a special edition as well. NoA could have just done what Europe did with having the game exclusive to the limited edition, had a few select retailers selling a limited quantity of it and then after orders filled up for the fans that wanted an actual real copy of the game then they could have released if on the eShop for everyone else. Hell if it had been a GameStop exclusive then even that would have been an acceptable alternative to this digital only BS.
Hear, hear! You bring up some very good points. I too was looking for a way around the region lock today, and I very much agree that releasing a special edition even if only a limited amount would have sufficed, especially considering that the PAL version includes Europe and Australia. A GameStop exclusive could have been a viable option.
“Real” copies, is a misnomer and frankly, it is a meaningless part of the process for a game or movie. Physical copies of games and movies are an outdated practice.
If you don’t like it fine, but to say that this is somehow a detriment to the experience is stupid. The game is the same, but because you want to make more waste in the world because of people’s precious collections (there simply is no other reason to need or want a physical disc unless you are worried about HDD space, which is only partly valid since if one can’t afford that, well maybe they shouldn’t be spending money on video games) or they need to feel some sort of comfort in physical ownership of a game that will be next to meaningless and worthless in short order.
Or you can blame it on not ever having a physical release in the first place when the other regions got that and a special edition, if that really actually keeps a significant population from buying the digital version. There’s no hate on digital, it’s just this game would have been good to have physically. I personally prefer my bigger games be physical. I think you’d want it that way too right? Either way, if it does well I’m sure we’d get more of it and the like in the future.
If it’s a game I intend to keep for many, many, many, many years, I don’t mind going digital as it saves up room for other stuff like collectibles, so I’m perfectly fine with certain games being digital only. But I’ll be right next to you if the day ever comes that Nintendo, Sony, & Microsoft try to force us to go digital only with every single game release as the consoles lack a disc or cartridge drive.
Very disappointed that Fatal Frame is digital only, was really looking forward to that one specifically. I’m a gamer and collector so I was hoping to add this to my physical WiiU collection. Skip for me.
Lazy idiots. Go back to Isis and suck on them lollipops! lol
Well my sources were right about Nintendo publishing Devil’s 3rd and it coming out in December (which I said in all of those false Liam reports).
There will be delays as usual, so I don’t get excited about games anymore.

Disappointed about Fatal Frame. I wanted a physical copy. There’s a special edition PAL version but nothing but a digital download here in the states. For the $10 I save with the digital download here in America I could ship a PAL version from the UK. If they had only made some NTSC-U versions I would buy it and ship it from wherever and play it here. What is there to do except buy or not buy the digital version? I wonder what constitutes as possibly selling well enough in the PAL regions to have physical copies.
Thanks. You’ll give Koei Tecmo another reason to not port Fatal Frame games to the US physically because you didn’t show them that there is still a lot of love for that franchise here in the States by buying the game digitally. I sure hope you guys upset over the digital only release of the game are a very, very, very, very, very small minority. Otherwise, we’ll get screwed out of future Fatal Frame games. Hopefully the NX will be region free, though, so I can at least port future Fatal Frame games from the UK.
I understand where you’re coming from Xeno, but we got this game to even be localized by showing that there was a significant calling for it. Yeah, I want to show my support for the game even more, but the Pal regions get a physical copy of the game and a special edition but NTSC-U only gets a digital download? Even you, yourself said that if NOA helped localize it then maybe they wouldn’t have had to sacrifice the physical release. I’m sure they know we want a physical release as much as these other countries, but I wonder how they come to the conclusion that they can do it for PAL, which includes Europe and Oceania, but not NTSC-U. Getting the digital copy will be hard for me, but it is not beyond me to support. Just wish I could play the PAL version too. I want Nintendo to understand, that it’s not that we don’t want it, it’s just we like the physical copies too. The only other thing I can do is contact NOA and Koei Tecmo, and add whatever percentage I am to it.
It’s because in this instance, NoA is being cheap while NoE is probably actually helping with the bill to localize the game physically. It’s the only explanation I can come up with at this point til someone at Nintendo opens their freaking mouth. But yeah. I’m not putting all the blame on people like you because you aren’t THE problem. In some cases, being part of the problem isn’t always as bad as being THE problem. THE problem is the companies themselves not wanting to better themselves because they think the people that buy their stuff are happy with how it is when most aren’t but bought the game anyway because it’s a “damned if you do, damned if you don’t” scenario these corporations put us in.
Like Ubisoft with their gimped or glitched games.
We may be damned… Maybe something will come up. I would like to hear someone talk about this. Perhaps I have gotten used to the Nintendo Directs and their insight… Thinking about Nintendo Power right about now too.
If Tecmo/NoA REALLY cared about the fanbase in NA, then they would have done some kind of physical release. Clearly they dont care about the series doing well and I as a long time fan feel no reason why I should support their cheapness and laziness. I will just import a physical copy of the game and wait for a way around the region lock to pop up like it did on the Wii.
While I agree about them being cheap & lazy, I have no choice but to go for the digital release since I can’t afford to get a UK Wii U AND a US Wii U. That & I’ve already invested in a US Wii U. And if Fatal Frame 5 is a game I enjoy to the point that I would never get rid of it even if I could sell it, it will be worth getting it digitally for me.
The fuck? No Nintendo Direct with a Starfox Zero trailer plus release date? Simply just oh yeah….Nov. 20th there you go…come on now.
This is why NOA needs a new CEO and fast. At this point, I don’t think they even know what they’re doing anymore
Oh there are tons of reasons why NoA needs a new CEO & fast.
Also where is Fast Racing Neo? Where is Shovel Knight DLC???
Full price for Mario Maker? The hellzzz
I’d rather get Super Mario Maker for 50 bucks & pay an extra 10 bucks to bypass that stupid 9 day waiting period bullshit.
So I’ll gladly wait for a price cut…. if I’m not busy getting other games by the time it does get a price cut, that is.
I bet we could have gotten Devil’s Third a hell of a lot sooner in the States if Nintendo of Americunts didn’t decide to localize the game AFTER the massive backlash they got for that rumor of them not localizing it. But if the game releases polished & with very few problems in the game, I guess it was worth NoA being cheap assholes.
Then again, Nintendo of Americunts could have helped localize Fatal Frame 5 so Koei Tecmo wouldn’t have to foot the entire bill making physical copies of the game in the States, making a digital only release a thing. Newsflash, Nintendo of America: Nintendo co-owns Fatal Frame so you greedy, cheap fucktards could actually help with the bill to localize the game just a bit!
Yay! So many games coming out to the Wii U this year… all in just the last 2-3 months. If this is what Reggie meant by no game drought, he really is a damn dick sucking Nintendo lapdog bitch that spews bullshit. Then again, when was he ever NOT a mindless corporate mouthpiece that spews bullshit lies & excuses?
Let’s hope Star Fox Zero releasing so close to Xenoblade Chronicles X doesn’t fuck over the game’s sales. Otherwise, nice fucking going once again, Nintendo of Americunts. Keep showing us why you fucktards suck so fucking bad in the last 6 years! You idiots need new fucking management. Preferably someone that actually knows what American gamers actually want, not some Japanese “idiot” that doesn’t know a damn thing about the culture; no offense to the late Satoru Iwata but he wasn’t the best man to come over & take over NoA from the puppet Reggie and we don’t need a repeat of that with another Japanese dude that doesn’t know anything about America.
In fact, if Devil’s Third isn’t as bad as the press made it out to be, let’s hope it’s close release to Star Fox Zero & Xenoblade Chronicles X doesn’t fuck over it’s sales.
Sadly, one of these games is going to get screwed because of the incompetence of NoA always wanting a huge lineup for the god damn holidays.
I understand what you saying I usually don’t purchase many games day 1. I do eventually get so them lumping the games together just mean I will wait longer. Zeno X and Devil’s Third will be bought before any of the other games for me.
well at least you don’t have the idiot we have in Europe. NoA has a way better lineup than NoE, I don’t even think we have a release date for devil the third and if we have one, I completely forgot about it.
I do agree with you about how stupid nintendo is, when it comes to release games. Why releasing 10 games in 3 months? when the rest of the year you got 0 games.
If someone can tell me how many real/physical games has been release from January to August, I think it would be interesting. I always mention it in the comment section, my nintendo news should remind us the games release for this year.
NoE does some things better than NoA, though, so you guys don’t have it too bad. And least NoE is doing better with the current guy than what they were doing with the guy that was in charge during the 1990s & early 2000s.
At the end of the day, the only people we can truly blame is the guys at NoJ for letting our idiot leaders continue being idiots.

Oh? Then I guess you prefer they do like those other idiots tried to do & go shoot up a Pokemon event to get their point across to Nintendo. You know what’s worse than people complaining?
