Popular YouTube channel GameXplain have gotten their hands on the North American version of the long-awaited Xenoblade Chronicles X on Wii U and have investigated some of the changes that are readily apparent in the western version. We have already heard that there have been some changes, namely to the character Lin who was 13 in the Japanese version but is now 15 in the western version of Xenoblade Chronicles X. Here’s the rest of the changes.
- Lin’s base model has been changed so that the bikinis are not as revealing. (This was already known)
- The character creator has been modified so that the bust slider has been removed and so therefore when creating a female character, all female characters created by the player have by default medium-sized breasts.
- The rest of the character models are the same, so there are no more changes on that front.

Who cares. It was such a random customization inclusion to begin with. You can’t edit any of the other body proportions except… the female’s breasts? Yeah, that’s pretty random, and we all know why it was in there to begin with.

Think of me what you will, but when roleplaying for entertainment, making willfully exagerated and/or absurd characters can and does enhance my overall enjoyment of the experience, and having options REMOVED starts me off feeling disappointed and thus decreases my initial and overall fun.
Ideally, there should be a “Sexy” slider for both males AND females, for maximum fun and personal taste. (Let those who like Dudes get their eye candy too)

Your reply makes it sound like you think I said I was into the little girl, when I actually said I supported censoring her. There is nothing wrong with young characters being part of a story about an entire civilization struggling to survive. It is only the sexualization of her that was, and still is a problem.
If handled tastefully, having ‘Tween’ age characters able to kick butt along side the grown ups can be adventurous fun, and a power fantasy for any similar aged gamers playing the game. Her age is only a problem because the female characters all dress in absurd bikini armor, which has been partly censored, but honestly not enough. What kind of body armor leaves so much exposed skin?
If it was a 13 year old boy in a T-Shirt, no one would be complaining about his age at all, other than maybe child endangerment.
What I am in support of is freedom to have fun with character creation. There is absolutely Zero maturity involved in making a character with huge boobs in a videogame. It is about as mature as using a heavily armed battle mech to mindlessly blow up alien dinosaurs for experience points. At some point, this is just a videogame, and the point is to have fun. Playing as a lady with huge boobs would have amused me. I’m disappointed that option has been taken away from me.
