This week’s Japanese sales charts are now in courtesy of sales tracker Media Create. There’s been a number of new entires in the charts this week and it appears as though Star Wars Battlefront is in big demand in Japan as it was easily the best-selling piece of software released this week. Hardware-wise it’s the Nintendo 3DS which is the best-selling platform and it’s closely followed by the PlayStation 4.

Ye
The stats for AC Amiibo Festival could easily be counting the free version on eshop.
WiiU baby yes!! lol the vita is selling better than the Xbox1
This is Japan. The Xbox One has never sold well over there. This is nothing new. And the Wii U sold less than last week, so that’s not a cause for celebration.
The Vita is still incredibly popular in Japan and has consistently sold well for quite some time. But kudos on being yet another person to highlight the terrible Xbox One sales in Japan. Here, let me give you a new bat to beat that dead horse with.
Wow, ammibo festival in the top 5. I’m suprised it sold that well at all. I guess because of the ammibo bundled with it.
Animal Crossing is very big in Japan so i think not that the amiibo bundle made it sell more
Too 5, but look at the numbers. 20,303 isn’t impressive.
Top 5*
I didn’t say it was, I said I was suprised it sold as well as it did. I wasn’t expecting it to even be in the top 10.l
When I read you were surprised I thought you meant it that way.
I see why you thought that.
yeah im surprised amiibo festival sold so well
Grand kingdom better come over to the u.s. and the vita is doing good
PS4 NOW OVER 30m sold. Well done
Ok Wiiu in top 5 consoles making it at no.3 is pretty good the machine which was very poor seller, finally Wiiu has beaten psvita and of course xboxone.
Wiiu is selling third place in a country where it’s hard to sell games. People will still spin it to be bad.
lol you don’t need to “spin” anything. Wii U’s overall performance since release is beyond disappointing and continues to be mediocre. And if it’s hard in Japan to sell games in general (“regular” video games as opposed to mobile games, you mean?), then that goes the same for Sony too – so since the handicap you’re giving to Nintendo (nice try, though) applies to all games, then, it doesn’t really have the same sort of effect in excusing Nintendo’s poor performance. Take away your (perceived) handicap and Nintendo still lags.
I still don’t feel like there’s enough reasons to buy a new 3DS. In fact, I’ve even retired from the regular 3DS. Handheld games don’t give me the same thrills and excitement as the major console games do.
