Pokemon Machoke And Machamp Aren’t Wearing Pants

You may want to avert your gaze the next time you see Machoke or Machamp, because that dark area under their belt isn’t what you think. According to the official Pokemon website, Machoke and his evolved form, Machamp are going commando. The area in question is actually a part of their markings, not briefs, as you may have thought.  Now, the guys over at Pokemon just need to tell us what’s up with Jynx’s outfit.

    >>>Who cares, there are more important matters to concern about, like the Xbot purge plan>>>

  3. Pokemon Yellow: The belt around its waist holds back its energy. Without it, this Pokémon would be unstoppable.

Emerald: A belt is worn by a Machoke to keep its overwhelming power under control. Because it is so dangerous, no one has ever removed the belt.

Diamond: Machoke’s boundless power is very dangerous, so it wears a belt that suppresses its energy.
These may be for Machoke, but I doubt the belt would become part of its body when it evolves into Machamp. So once again, this is conflicting information from what we’ve been already given.

    1. I’m sorry to add to the list of conflicting information, (…Actually, I’m not; because it supports your point all the better! haha)

but I must also point out that some sources, in frail (and failed) efforts to resolve the inconsistency revolving around “Pokemon being born without clothes”, attempt to say that Pokemon trainers add the belt on after evolution. How in Cinnabar Hoilzzz does a trainer get the belt on the begin with, if Machoke’s/Machamp’s dangerously raw strength and energy spirals it destructively out of control without the belt already on?? Does that even make any sense?

So, what will they THEN try to say in response to THAT? That, th-th-that (stutters)…. that the belt is skin material also?? *****roll eyes*****

  4. Here is my take on all of this: It’s a whole pile of cockamamie rubbish and nonsense. And, from the looks of the replies here, I think the majority of folks who came before me already agree.

I don’t care what “official Pokémon website” say. If it LOOKS like speedo briefs and APPEARS TO FUNCTION like speedo briefs… who or what’s to tell me that it’s NOT a pair of speedo briefs?

The "official site" claims that no Pokémon is born with clothes already on; just like we were all born naked. So, is Machoke's/Machamp's belt a belt, or is that skin, too? Which is it?

Oh, but wait! A few separate sources say that that belt had to be put on by trainers after they evolve. So.... what Nintendo's been showing us (Machop evolving into Machoke with a belt ALREADY ON) is not what it's supposed to be?

Secondly and more pertinently, if Machoke's/Machamp's raw strength and energy runs destructively and uncontrollably wild and bonkers without the belt to channel such crude prowess... how could trainers even put it on them to begin with?

Finally, what about all those other existing Pokémon that Pokémon fans and creators around the world already know and confirm DO wear cloths? (E. g. Hitmonchan, Jynx, Kirlia, Mr. Rime, Cinderace, Gardevoir, what 20 upon 30 more have I missed.)

Here’s what’s likely going on: The Pokémon writers feel that their obligation to keep Pokémon “clean” and “safe” for kids means ridding their G-rated platform of “non-G-rated” topics; as to avoid parental scorn. So, they tactlessly propose “officially” that black area that looks like underwear is really actually just biological dermis configured in the illusion of speedos. (Now, hormonal teenage brats can’t have discussion about Machamp’s speedos and all the related “good stuff” topics that come with it. Ehe… ehe…)

They probably didn’t realize, nor cared, that they couldn’t viably do this without having to address and then alter every single Pokémon that they ever created that DO wear clothes. (And, of course, one wonders why of all those Pokémon, they pick on Machoke/Machamp to the be the subject of this sudden and implausible alteration, anyways.)

Pokémon is a cartoon drawing; born out of our human fanci-fiction imagination. We get to interpret drawings however the hoils we choose to. Like those many who came before me, I 100% absolutely refuse to believe that what we already know to clearly and plainly be Machamp’s speedo briefs is not speedo briefs; covering Machamp up where he’s supposed to be covered up. =) (Just to word in a PG-appropriate manner)
