New update date for The Legend of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes is now available for download. The version 2.0.0 update is required to access the game’s online multiplayer features. Some notable additions include the Den of Trials, two new outfits, a new method for obtaining Friendly Tokens and Miiverse stamps. The full list of update details is as follows:

  • Den of Trials will be added.
Over 30 stages will be unlocked in the Den of Trials (each one goes progressively deeper underground).
  • 2 new outfits will be added.
These will be unlocked after clearing certain requirements in the game.

Friendly Tokens can be obtained from the street vendor after Princess Styla’s curse has been lifted.
  • Miiverse stamps will be added.

Users will be matched up with other players based on their answers to a series of questions prior to being matched up.
  • Users will be able to add other users to their blacklist if they exit the game through the pause menu during the game.
After their teammate exits the game, users will be able to add them to their blacklist by tapping the teammate’s Hero Panel and pressing the A (or B) button before saving the game.
  • Adjustments will also be made to make for a more pleasant gaming experience.

So if you suck and the teammates leave, Nintendo gives you the right to blacklist them? Are they mad? Maybe adding voice chat will prevent people from leaving mid-game in the first place?

    1. While voice chat would be a fantastic addition, especially when they have it in a few select 3ds games so they can’t say it’s not doable, I don’t see how giving people the power to blacklist is a bad thing. Especially if it’s more of a ‘I just don’t want to play with this person’ anymore type of deal. But again, I do agree voice chat should be a thing. That could make it fun and up the lasting appeal. With the reasons they’ve given for lack of voice chat for this particular game I can only hope this trend doesn’t wash into releases for the NX as well. ^^;

      1. If Nintendo puts Voice Chat into the NX, I’d be shocked. Omitting VC isn’t a technical limitation, it’s their philosophy. I hope people still wanting Nintendo consoles day one are not holding their breath for a modern gaming experience. Nintendo is still all about Local or heavily restricted online. They don’t even need parental controls in their hardware anymore. They dictate it in the software. Maybe just a lock for the browser.

    2. A good player wouldnt mind a blacklist from a noob anyways .. so all in all although i dont give a damn about blacklisting(played 76 hours and only one dude was blacklist material, and i wished he will die from cancer ((joking))), but it’s better done with the update

    1. That’s so stupid trolls don’t come in as often. If your gonna be on a website and leave comments you should have an account. It’s better this way.

    1. I LOVED the demo, but I don’t really play my 3ds that much, and with there being several Wii U games I wanted to preorder I just didn’t have the money. If it was on the Wii U however, hell yeah I would play that! THAT WOULD BE AWESOME!

      1. I can see that, but since it didn’t release on WiiU, I’m curious just how many units this and the new Animal Crossing have sold. Hmm.

        1. Which new animal crossing, the “Happy Home Designer”? This and that are geared toward kids almost exclusively… My daughter is so crazy for the Home Designer it is insane, not so much this one though…

          1. Haha, awesome – glad she likes it so much. What you said makes sense. I got home designer for an adult AC fan… They don’t really dig it. :/

    2. I really enjoy the concept and would play it a lot more if the online lag wasn’t an issue. It’s kind of hit or miss, sometimes the lag issues are barely there but other times it can be pretty annoying. I play it on my lunch breaks at work sometimes, it’s a pretty fun game to just pick up and play for a few rounds.
