NPD: Here’s The Best-Selling Games In The US During November

It’s that time of the month again as the NPD Group has detailed exactly which video games sold the most in the United States during the month of November. We had Thanksgiving and also Black Friday so I’d presume that software sales were at an all-time high. Sadly, the only Nintendo related title in the top ten was Just Dance 2016 which sold the most on the Wii and the Wii U. Here’s the best-selling games in the US in November.

  1. Call of Duty: Black Ops III (Xbox One, PS4, 360, PS3, PC)
  2. Fallout 4 (PS4, Xbox One, PC)
  3. Star Wars: Battlefront (PS4, Xbox One, PC)
  4. Madden NFL 16 (PS4, Xbox One, 360, PS3)
  5. NBA 2K16 (PS4, Xbox One, 360, PS3)
  6. FIFA 16 (PS4, Xbox One, 360, PS3)
  7. Need For Speed (PS4, Xbox One)
  8. Halo 5: Guardians (Xbox One)
  9. Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate (PS4, Xbox One, PC)
  10. Just Dance 2016 (Wii, Wii U, 360, Xbox One, PS4, PS3)

  2. Wow, Tomb Raider didn’t even make it on the top 10. SE won’t be too happy about that. Might not be very easy for Microsoft to manage to get another exclusive from them anytime soon, hah. Oh well.

    1. It was a poor decision to launch on the same day as Fallout. It should have been moved up a month or back a month.

Also, Microsoft has said they do not plan on 3rd party exclusives in the future – they are focusing their time and money on 1st party games (unlike Sony, apparently)

      1. True, true.

However, I doubt Microsoft would say no to 3rd-party exclusives if they get the chance to get their hands on them, even if they claim otherwise.
Also, I’m not sure what you mean with “unlike Sony”. It’s true they haven’t been very strong at all on the 1st-party front until now, no point in denying that. But it’s looking pretty good for the future, according to their plans, so I don’t see how saying “they’re focusing their time and money on 1st-party games” doesn’t apply for Sony too. Correct me if I’m wrong, but I’d almost say Sony has more 1st-party games up their pipeline than Microsoft does right now (as far as games we know about go, at least). I haven’t actually looked it up before writing this, but off the top of my head, I’d say so. Again, feel free to correct me if I’m mistaken on that one – but either way, I think it’s safe to say both are on a better track than before.

  4. I was at Best Buy the other day and a couple was picking up some games on the Wii U for their kids. One of them was Just Dance 2016, and I could only shake my head as they walked away.

I don’t buy Just Dance games but I’ve seen my sister play JD 2016 and I love the songs on it. Lol. Definitely downloading them.
