Control 8 Fighters At Once With This Smash Bros Glitch

Ever want to play 8-Player Smash by yourself, but you don’t happen to be an Octoling? Well, thanks to reddit user Gluetendo, it’s now possible, with a couple of amiibo at hand. By performing a specific sequence on the 8-Player Smash character select screen, you will be able to control up to 8 fighters at once. Additionally, two or more players can perform this trick to control any number of team combinations. 4 on 4 battles anyone? Below you can find the exact steps to enable the glitch, as well as a video showing it in action with 8 beautifully synchronized Ganondorfs.

  1. Have 8 amiibo.
  2. Use a controller that can “desync” (a GameCube controller preferably).
  3. Go to the 8-Player Smash mode.
  4. Just move your joystick until the “Player #” or port space pops up.
  5. Click the name part of your port until it says “None”.
  6. Remove your controller from the port or desync it.
  7. Scan your amiibo.
  8. Plug your shit back in.
  9. Move your joystick again and now you will be the Player in the next available space after your scanned amiibo. Nothing out of the ordinary, but trust me, it’s working.
  10. Repeat Steps 5-9 until all the Player spaces are filled with the 8 amiibo.
  11. Go to the Settings (where Time or Stock and Item rules are). Then simply exit.
  12. Enjoy controlling 8 characters simultaneously!

        1. 💃I'm a Boss Ass Bitch💯

If you’re just starting the game you won’t be able to go online for a while. Talk to me whenever you’re online features are available.

    1. I just did this glitch last night. The character of the amiibo doesn’t matter; after they’re all scanned and you back out from the settings, you close out the amiibo players and choose the character(s) yourself, using 8 character select hands at once.

Point being, he likely didn’t use 8 Ganons. Theres no way to tell what amiibos he used.
