Malo is back on Twitter and this time the fictional character once again had a few more details to share regarding the upcoming Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD. Specifically what Malo was talking about was the brand new Hero mode which is made even harder via the Ganondorf amiibo, so expect that particular figure to be hot property.
オマエにそんな趣味があったとは… pic.twitter.com/Zzpct7ZNpl

“…It’s Malo. In Hero Mode, the world becomes horizontally reversed… You also take twice the damage… You look so glad aren’t you… then stack it up with Ganondorf’s amiibo… You’ll take 4 times more damage then. …You look really glad now. So you have such a hobby eh…”

~*Yes! The Ganondorf amiibo will work on Hero Mode! Yay! *cough* Ahem! That’s good to hear.*~
they really listened to people on this one. that’s what I like to see. every main zelda game from here on out needs a hero mode. no exception.
Absolutely. And it needs to be available from the start of the games aswell. It’s silly putting a hero mode only accessible after you beat the game. I never understood that. Let the people who enjoy challenge, enjoy it on their first playthrough…
Game looks meh but can’t wait to see speed runs on normal mode and hero mode and hero mode with the ganon amiibo
I’m really tempted to play the game on Hero mode + Ganon amiibo right from the start.
I really like a challenge lol.
That’s what I plan to do. The easiness of the original game was my number one complaint. This won’t affect how easy the puzzles are, but at least I’ll actually die sometimes.
I played the original game on the Wii, and it was the first Zelda game I literally completed without ever dying once. I completed each temple in one session. I left the game feeling really disappointed with it.
One thing I want to know about the Ganondorf amiibo: do you have to scan it every time you turn the game on? Or is it set once you scan it. I haven’t used any amiibo yet. I would prefer to not have to continuously scan every time. Although some people may want to turn it off if they can’t handle it. Perhaps an on switch one you have scanned Ganondorf?
Perhaps an on/off switch once you have scanned Ganondorf.*
As of right now, my understanding is you have to scan the Ganondorf amiibo every time you start the game file and after any game over.
I honestly don’t know why hero mode wasn’t available ten years ago when the game originally released, but oh well. I’m glad it’s here now. Hopefully Nintendo finally realizes the importance of a difficulty setting. They need to understand that Zelda fans are a very diverse fanbase. Some enjoy a challenge, some don’t. Adding a difficulty option will satisfy everyone… (or hero mode, same thing really)
I totally agree and hope they take this to heart with the next Zelda game for Wii U. It’s just not acceptable to hide a higher difficulty option behind a post-game unlock when the base game is so easy for so many.
At first I thought this said “Mario Talks A Little About Zelda Twilight Princess HD”. And I was like, WHAT?
I thought this was known already….
