The team at Destructoid have been lucky enough to get their hands on a copy of the Mega Man Legacy Collection Collector’s Edition prior to its release next week. They have uploaded some pictures of the packaging and the Gold Mega Man amiibo, and also listed some details about the bundle. Here’s what’s inside the box:
- Mega Man Legacy Collection 3DS game
- Six postcards of art from each game
- Gold Mega Man amiibo
- Several stickers inside the game case
- A card with a code to download 18 tracks from the game’s soundtrack
- A download card for two Mega Man 3DS theme
It is also noted that the 3D used in the game is very minimal, and that there are some new pieces of art and retro ads to take a look at in the in-game museum.
And then Europe is like “Digital only uhuhu!” Why, just whyyyy.

It’s a Gold Mega Man, exactly as they said it’d be. Same as the Gold Mario. What did you expect? lol
I wasn’t even expecting this to utilize the 3D at all, I’m guessing it will just be on the boss select screen or something. A fully remastered mega man in 3D would have been awesome though. I loved the sonic games remastered in 3D.

I was going to get this I Pre-ordered and everything but nah changed my mind costs too much at 60 lol
I thought it was $50. I remember that I did pre-order this but I don’t remember through which store or if I used my debit card or my paypal credit lol
It is but I got it online on gamestop and with tax and shipping ends up at 60
Cool. I had no idea it came with anything but the game and amiibo haha. I likely won’t even open the box though. I’m only buying it as a collector and fan. I already own Legacy Collection on PC hah
I’ve now pre ordered the PS4 version from Asia since Capcom doesn’t even wanna bring the game out physically in Europe on PS4. That’s the version I wanted anyway but still.
Mega man is shit
This is probably the first 3DS game that I’ve had much interest in since Animal Crossing: New Leaf. And being a bundle with that cool gold Mega Man amiibo etc. just sweetins the deal. Even though I have the Mega Man Anniversary Collection on Gamecube, and I’ve already played all the way through Mega Man 1-8. It would be cool to have some of them on the 3DS as well. But (much like with the gold Mario amiibo), why couldn’t they have put Mega Man in a different pose for the gold Mega Man amiibo? They could have gave him a pose where he’s shooting his arm cannon or something. Why do they just give the same amiibo a gold paint job? I don’t understand that.
