YouTuber and blogger NintenDaan has managed to get his hands on a Japanese copy of Mario & Sonic at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games which was released yesterday in Japan. Those of us here in the west will have to wait until March 18th if you’re in North America and April 8th for a European release. By the way, these release dates only apply to the Nintendo 3DS version as the Wii U version hasn’t been given a firm release date. Anyway, be sure to check out the opening sequence and content from the story mode in the videos embedded above and below.
I never buy the 3DS (or, handheld in general) versions of these games. I always wondered if there was a difference between Wii/Wii U and handheld versions?
Yeah…but not by much. This party franchise is better suited for a younger audience.
This one has unlockable characters?
Makes you wonder who they all are.
Still, WHEN ARE WE GOING TO GET A REAL MARIO AND SONIC CROSSOVER!? This was cool the first two times but you can only put your mascots together for an Olympics game so many times before it gets stale.
Ha ha this shit series
