DICE Honors Satoru Iwata With A Lifetime Achievement Award

Satoru Iwata was among the individuals who were recognized during last night’s DICE Awards. The late Nintendo president – who passed away in 2015 due to a bile duct growth – was honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award that was accepted by Nintendo of America’s Reggie Fils-Aime, who delivered a brief speech about Iwata’s contribution to the gaming industry. You can read an excerpt from Fils-Aime’s heartfelt tribute to Iwata below:

“On behalf of Mr. Iwata’s family and all of Nintendo, thank you for this lifetime achievement award. Mr. Iwata has been gone for some time but I still think about him almost every day.”

        1. Mm, yeah I agree. I’m sure they don’t handle it much more different than we do. People are people and losing one you love is Never easy. It’s worth a look into for sure.
