Bravely Default Developers Team Up With Mistwalker For New Project

Silicon Studio, who are the developers behind the well-received Bravely Default, have announced that they have teamed up with JRPG studio Mistwalker. Details regarding the partnership are admittedly rather scarce, but the collaboration seems to be for multiple games. The first game is likely to be a console based version of the popular free-to-play mobile game Terra Battle, but what they do next should prove to be intriguing.

    1. Not sure how I feel about this, Mistwalker being one of my favourite game developers teaming up with those from a highly overrated game. The combat and levelling system was fantastic, but the story and the characters really let it down.

Actually.. Lost Odyssey had some of the greatest storytelling in a game I’ve ever seen, but was kind of lacking in the combat department.. Maybe this is a match made in heaven?

  1. My guess is that they’ll develop some titles for the 3DS. Maybe for the Vita, even. I don’t see them supporting the Wii U at this point in its life and with the NX on the horizon, especially taking into account that they’re not large studios to begin with.
