You may remember us reporting that former Nintendo UK PR boss Jo Bartlett left Nintendo late last year. Well, Sony has announced today that she has joined the PlayStation brand as head of communications. Bartlett landed the role of head of communications at Nintendo UK back in 2011 and helped handle the launch of Wii U and also the various Nintendo 3DS iterations we have had.
“My career in the games industry began working on the PlayStation account from an agency perspective, and I still count that time as the most challenging and rewarding to date.”

Well, maybe she’s guilty for the non-sucess of the WiiU. Nintendo is cleaning the house.
It’s PR, so I highly doubt she was responsible for the weak sales of the Wii U.
ha ha you gotta to laugh, maybe she left because she was frustrated with Nintendo and Sony is much more flexible and listening to any input she may have for the UK market. This should be a conflict of interest as she may have inside on Nintendo operations. Nintendo could file a lawsuit against her as this is usually against the terms in a contract of working at a large company such as Nintendo!

Agreed. The US AND the UK divisions of Nintendo needs to get rid of their marketing teams. A shame EA’s former marketing guy isn’t cutting it as the new head of advertisements at NoA. Then again, there is probably a bunch of idiots higher up in the food chain cutting his plans down. Or we could go with the more paranoid theory & say he’s a spy for EA trying to ruin NoA’s reputation even further.

Not all that it seems to be? In 3 years Wii sales started falling. PS4 coming to 3 years and still not declining in sales. Only difference is one is powerful and the other one is weak. Now why you suppose the weak system declined in sales in 2009 and the PS4 isnt?
