It is now safe to say that Nintendo’s first entry into the smartphone app market has been nothing short of a resounding success. Nintendo has tweeted that the social application Miitomo has now reached 3 million users worldwide. The company thanks fans for their support and encourages others to enjoy the app with friends.

A good start. I’d like to point out, mobile apps, often like most Nintendo games, almost always have steady downloads/sales. So if this is the launch, I expect the game to do great.

agreed! hopefully the fanbase doesn’t shrivel to nothing once the first week is over. the good news is that nintendo is thinking long term with this one so expect cool updates in the future. btw would you like to be miitomo friends? i’m looking for cool active users =)

I enjoy the app! At first you wait around just answering questions then once you add friends the app flourish and becomes very fun!
I’m happy for the success and hopefully it reaches 100 million downloads. But Miitomo does not personally interest me. I was going to force myself to download it but I just couldn’t. Maybe their next one I will find more interesting.
