We’ve got the Tokyo Game Show coming up in September and online publication VR World claims that the Nintendo NX will be unveiled to the world during the show. The very same publication also claims that Sony’s PlayStation NEO will also be showcased during the event. Of course, this is just a rumour and nothing concrete has been confirmed. The Nintendo NX will launch in March 2017 worldwide.

But, this could be the first time Nintendo shares some details about the NX at TGS, because don’t forget that they have a new President and Kimishima probably wants to show everyone at TGS.
I hope they reveal it soon so people can actually be excited about something
I still believe that Nintendo will hold a Space World 2016, or do a “Nintendo Direct” video showing off the NX.
Space World would be nice, but a Nintendo Direct wouldn’t be smart in my opinion. Only Nintendo fans watch them, so that would be super ineffective. They need something big that all gamers will watch. E3 would have been the ideal spot in my opinion, but Nintendo decided against it. Then again I’ve heard from fellow commenters that a lot of publishers are going away from E3 for various reasons. I’m not sure how big Space World was when it used to go on because I never got to watch it, but my brother did I believe. I think it might have been Nintendo’s own show. But probably with a lot more advertising than a Direct.
Unless Nintendo can talk one of the major channels on television to let them show their digital event on their channel at a certain time, a digital event is definitely not a good idea.
Leakers DON’T KNOW SHIT! They didn’t know that the NX is not going to be shown at E3. And they certainly don’t know what is shown at TGS. AND PLEASE, STOP CALLING SPECULATIONS RUMOURS!
Mainly because the NX was slated for December 2016, but Nintendo had to make a quick decision to gain more launch titles so they delayed the console until March 2017.
I don’t remember the nx ever being given a release date before March 2017. When did Nintendo say it was scheduled for December?
A leak came out not too long ago and it was reported on here (So I’m surprised you didn’t see it) that stated that Nintendo pushed the release date to March 2017 to avoid an empty launch line up.

Ok. I do seem to remember breezing over that when it was posted. I thought he was saying that Nintendo actually came out with a December ’16 release date before they said March 2017.

Yeah, Tilmen tends to say anything for attention. Aside from his direct feed footage (which is good), I tend not to bother with him.
This makes more sense seeing as they have opted out of E3 pretty much, and to top it off TGS is in September, which seems closer to the actual release date.
And yet I refuse to get my hopes up.
I hope it’s a lot sooner than September.
I’m fine so long as when they debut the thing lets them have strong Holiday pre-order numbers. September could be a good time for that.
Nintendo don’t tend to actually attend TGS, but I could see them holding a separate event at the same time.

Because some of us still view E3 as a big event. Not to mention it’s the only big gaming event in the US. Ya know. One of the major regions that buy a load of video game products. If you can name another one that gets mentioned by the mainstream media in America, I’d much like to hear of it, though.
