  1. I didn’t even know who Samus was until I played brawl. Which was my first smash bros game because my mom didn’t let me play T rated games until I was 13

    1. I didn’t know about Samus until the first smash bros. Didn’t know she was a girl until Melee when I saw her trophy. And after that, still didn’t play a Metroid game until after the wii came out.

  2. My confession is that I think Mario Kart 8 is one of the worst in the series and that SSB4’s online play is one of the worst online games I’ve ever experienced.

      1. Not only that but it was supposed to be an 8th generation game, which it didn’t really feel like. It was literally just racing and thats it. The DS and Wii version had more content. I appreciate the DLC on MK8 but it just didnt help the game overall. It still felt bland and boring. :/

  3. Here’s 3 confessions of my own:

    1. I hated Majora’s Mask when it originally released on N64. I couldn’t get into the timer mechanic and also thought the game was unnecessarily creepy/dark. But, I eventually gave it another try when it released on the Wii VC, and ended up liking it a lot.

    2. The Wii is my least favorite console of all time (not including handhelds, or else it would be the Vita). I may be a Nintendo fan, but during that generation I gamed way more on Xbox and PS.

    3. I have never played Final Fantasy 7.

  4. My confession: My entire gaming life growng up has been exclusively Nintendo. My family had every single Nintendo console and, with the exception of a ps2 and xbox 360, owned nothing else. And yet, throughout all those years of playing Nintendo consoles; Mario, Pokemon, and the SNES Star Fox title were the only Nintendo IP’s that I ever played. I played the Smash Bros. games too, but I had no clue who any of the characters were. It wasn’t until after the Wii came out that I started looking into the characters in Smash and started getting into their series’. Since then I’ve played every Metroid game, Zelda game, Mother game, Star Fox game, and I’m just starting to play through the FE series.

I owe a lot to Super Smash Bros. for really showing me what Nintendo has to offer.
