      1. I believe English is the second most common language in Japan, only behind (duh) Japanese, so it might just be coincidence. Don’t forget the late Iwata-san spoke fluent English in many Directs.

Maybe it’s a coincidence, maybe it’s foreshadowing, maybe I’m just talking out my ass, who knows!?

            1. Now that you mention it, aren’t we basically their military? Unless that’s changed? Last I remember, they were not allowed to have a military after WW 2. I don’t know if we lifted that or not.

        1. I believe you are correct, from what i’ve heard everyone starts learning english their first year of school aka kindergarten. When I went to visit South Korea EVERYONE I met wanted to talk with me to practice their English lol

  1. To anyone wondering why it’s in English, as another above mentioned, English is widely used in Japan AND there is a US military base in Japan.

  3. Y’know, Mario has been around for 30 years, including his original stint in Donkey Kong (even if he isn’t named). Why is there no Super Mario Trivial Pursuit set?

Come to think of it, is there ANY video-game-themed TP set at all?
