It’s that time of the month again to find out which software and hardware were the best-sellers in the United States. The figures are provided by the official chart tracking firm in the US, The NPD Group. Sadly, there wasn’t any Nintendo related titles in the entire top ten and it was Sony’s PlayStation 4 which was the best-selling piece of hardware. Here’s the best-selling software in the United States during the month of May!
- Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End (PS4)
- Doom (PS4, Xbox One, PC)
- Overwatch (PS4, Xbox One, PC)
- Battleborn (PS4, Xbox One, PC)
- Grand Theft Auto V (PS4, Xbox One, 360, PS3, PC)
- Minecraft (PS4, Xbox One, 360, PS3)
- NBA 2K16 (PS4, Xbox One, 360, PS3)
- Call of Duty: Black Ops III (Xbox One, PS4, 360, PS3, PC)
- MLB 16: The Show (PS4, PS3)
- Dark Souls III (PS4, Xbox One)

No Nintendo games. Why was this article made?
It’s news that Nintendo didn’t get in there. It reflects the situation Nintendo is in right now.
I bought all 3 games in the top 3, hah… got Doom 2 days ago for $20 though. Kinda regret paying 60 for Uncharted.
Why do people keep buying COD? The COD craze doesn’t make sense to me anymore. I rented Blops3 and it’s one of the worst of the whole series imo.
I’m one of the reasons why PS4 and Uncharted 4 made the top selling list. I bought the PS4 Uncharted 4 bundle.
Isn’t Grand Theft Auto V considered a rather old game now? I know it’s the newest of the series, but it released ages ago.
GTA seems to be like CoD, and have constant high sales over its lifetime – compared to most other PS/Xbox games
No Nintendo games – gee I wonder why? Its not like Nintendo has totally forgotten to make Wii U games….oh wait
I wonder if Witcher 3 got a boost in sales in the US because of the Blood & Wine Expansion DLC.
