No new information regarding the NX came out of E3 so far, but Nintendo did drop a hint about amiibo functionality. The publisher’s upcoming system will probably be compatible with the interactive figures, according to Tokyo tech reporter Takashi Mochizuki. During yesterday’s Nintendo Treehouse program at E3, Nintendo announced a new series of amiibo that are specific to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.
No new NX information from interviews, besides some hint of Amiibo would work with NX. But we kind of expected that, I suppose? #E32016

Well I expected that at least. I mean, Nintendo did say that amiibo would be compatible with Wii U, 3DS, and any future systems and handhelds.
Not only that but they said that both versions of the game will be the same, implying that the WolfLink features and other amiibo features should be in the NX version as well.
Why would they not make the NX amiibo-compatible? In fact, they should really think of having a “Nintendo Land/Wii Sports” game that is amiibo-centric. Nintendo really needs some way to unify all the Amiibo and make them worthwhile.
Dropping Amiibo support before doing anything worthwhile with Amiibo would be a new level of incompetent.
Not that I expect Nintendo to make their version of Skylanders any time soon.

Don’t forget to blame Nintendo for sending out terrible stock that causes scalpers to be in business in the first place.

Well they did say The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wind will be the same on both Wii U & NX. It wouldn’t really be the same if we couldn’t use amiibo for the NX version.
I don’t think it takes a rocket scientist to know that the NX will be compatible with amiibo. Nintendo is making craploads of money from the amiibo.
