Wondering which games were nominated as the best playable games at this year’s E3 event in Los Angeles? Well, The Game Critics Awards 2016 nominees have been announced! Nintendo only had one playable game at the show which was the stunning Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Link’s adventure scored 3 nominations in the Best of Show, Best Console Game, and Best Action/Adventure Game categories. There’s some stiff competition on the list but the winners will be revealed on Tuesday 5th July 2016.

No, it was atually part of the XBOX conference. It was part of the whole Xbox ID program. It only got about 5 seconds of screen time, but it was there.

I wouldn’t call it a strategy game, but it would fit into RPG territory (and it’s in the Action/Adventure section).
Best Strategy game? Might as well put Zelda into the sports game category, if you think it deserves a spot among the strategy nominees.
Also, “action game” seems to be the equivalent for shooters in this case, Zelda is nominated for best action/adventure.

i can’t wait for the New Zelda to come out, i’ve already seen the video for the game and it looks really cool. so if i get it i’ll have 3 Zelda games.

Critics can say (and be paid to say) whatever they want, but the countless footage of thousands of E3-goers stampeding past other game booths just for a shot (and 5-hour wait) at Nintendo’s speaks for itself.

Oh, I know, and seeing those commemorative Zelda coins, shirts and other swag made it even harder to not be there. Just to have been able to see the booth itself, with the statues of Link fighting a guardian, would’ve been awesome. :) It’s a good time to be a Zelda fan.

I hope they put these lists backwards. If Zelda isn’t in your top 3 game series then you’re a cuck. Bethesda, more like King ( creators of Candy Crush ) for boys! Nah nah just kidding. But seriously most of these games on the list looks like generic mainstream shit.

I would have put Shantae in the best indie games.
The Legend Of Zelda: BOTW was clearly the best game at E3, and the only one even worth talking about. The only other games I know of that was interesting (but only shown in trailers) was Paper Mario: Color Splash and that one PS4 (or both PS4 and Xbone) game called…..what was it? Uh….Days Gone? Something like that.

Why isn’t Zelda there in the best racing category? Horseback racing anyone? Puzzle? We all know Zelda is puzzle filled. PC? Doesn’t that stand for Pot Crashing? If it does then Zelda should be there also. Family? Sure Link comes from SOMEWHERE…. Hardware?…. The sheikan tablet anyone? Independent, link has no mother to cook for him so yeah, he is independent enough to cook himself. Sport? Isn’t hunting a type of sport? Or how about archery? VR? He is a Virtual boy, in a virtual wo-o-orld…
