Nintendo was sitting on Tomodachi Life Living the Dream for about a year

It has been revealed that Nintendo completed work on Tomodachi Life Living the Dream about a year ago but as the Kyoto-based company sometimes does, it sat on the game and decided to release it this month. It could be that Nintendo didn’t want to take attention away from the Nintendo Switch 2 launch in June 2025 so decided to hold back on its release for this reason.

  1. Always felt like a no brainer to have tomodachi on the switch, felt so weird to me that the game took so long to come out cause I knew it would print money for Nintendo but I’m so glad it came out, this series means a lot to me and my friends

  2. This really does make me wonder what else they’re just sitting on. I remember Pikmin 1 + 2 and Paper Mario: TTYD Remake (if I recall correctly) were already done for ages.

And hey, an extra year means a whoooole lot of bonus polish haha
