Pokemon Shuffle Hits 6 Million Downloads on 3DS

As Pokémon Go’s popularity explodes on iOS and Android, another free-to-play Pokémon game continues to have its own success on the 3DS. First released in February 2015, Pokémon Shuffle has now surpassed 6 million downloads on the 3DS eShop. While not reaching the heights of Pokémon Go, which recently surpassed 50 million downloads in record-breaking time, the puzzle game is undeniably a hit with Pokémon fans. It should also be remembered that Shuffle was released on mobile last September.

To celebrate this huge milestone, new rewards have been added to the game. These bonuses can be collected by players each day for the next few weeks. With so many downloads, it seems likely that further updates will continue to arrive. Have you been playing Pokémon Shuffle and does it stack up against other free-to-play puzzle games? Tell us in the comments.
