Whilst we know that Dragon Quest X is being developed for Nintendo’s next console, the NX, it looks like an NX port of Dragon Quest Builders hasn’t been ruled out of the team’s future plans for the series.
At the Gamescon event in Cologne this week, Dualshockers had the chance to speak with the Dragon Quest series producer Noriyoshi Fujimoto. One of the questions asked was whether Square Enix is considering a port of Dragon Quest Builders for Nintendo NX, and he responded advising that he doesn’t know whether it will happen or not, but the team are considering the possibility. Fujimoto also added that the game is a family-oriented game, so he believes it’s a good match for a Nintendo console.
Dragon Quest Builders was released in Japan in January this year for the PS3, PS4 and PS Vita consoles, and is is due to be released worldwide in October.
“due to be released worldwide in October.”
YES. YES YES YES. YESSSSSSSSSSSS
Doesn’t tell us a lot about what the NX is, considering this will be on Vita too.
Nevertheless, support is always welcome.
Well, it does give us a “minimum” tech spec.
Nothing we didn’t know about since BotW can run on it.
Yes more games i lika dis!!!
*looks up Dragon Quest Builders on wiki* Wait? This game is based on a what if ending of the original Dragon Quest where the hero accepts the villain’s deal!? Sweet! We need more video games & movies that pick up in a “what if the hero, or villain, of the video game or movie did this or that.” I might actually give this game a chance just for that.
did this or that” at the end of the previous movie/video game.* Fixed.
