Super Mario Run might not be out till December, but one dedicated fan has recreated the game’s style using Super Mario 64 as a base. Featuring the game’s infinite running mechanic, this Nintendo 64 mod surely captures the essence of the upcoming mobile release. The mod even features a Super Mario 64 remix of the New Super Mario Bros tune used in the Run’s trailer. Created by YouTube user Kaze Emanuar, the mod is available to download in the video’s description. If anyone gets a chance to try it out, tell us what you think.

If SMR was done in Super Mario 64 style like this, I’d be much more likely to consider getting it.

Again I must ask, WHY DO PEOPLE BOTHER DOING THIS? Don’t they know that Nintendo will go after them? EVERYBODY should know that by now. If I was a modder, I’d keep the games to myself.

This guy has made several mario 64 hacks and none of em have been taken down ;P
Now I wanna see a NSMB hack of SM64.
Do mods even get taken down?
I’ve never seen a Mod or Romhack get DMCA’d. Please correct me if I’m wrong though.
