The community over at Reddit are at it again digging around for any possible Nintendo NX related leaks as we are starved for information. This time around user TheUror has been playing around with various Metroid related web addresses. The user knew that Federation Force uses the name metroidprime.nintendo.com so he figured he would play around and try metroid.nintendo.com. If you try the site it works but it’s not currently public. However, if you try something like fzero.nintendo.com nothing appears. There’s a possibility that this ties in with Retro Studios having part of their site down. Who knows?

Developers register websites all the time. Just to avoid people taking them. For example: Blizzard registered a website for a recent Adventure in the game Hearthstone back in 2012 to avoid any issues, they also have many others registered that may never be used. I expect this to be nothing for now.
I’m pretty sure Nintendo doesn’t have to worry about anybody ever using insertgamenamehere.nintendo.com.
While true, in this case, they’ve only added a subdomain. Once you have a domain (nintendo.com is a domain), no one but you can register a subdomain (unless you choose to open it for everyone). metroid.nintendo.com is a subdomain and unless someone can prove otherwise, I’m pretty sure Nintendo wouldn’t allow anyone to register a subdomain on their own domain.

And with words written in macaroni and glue read the words “Suck my Jew”.. Reggie took a deep long hard swallow before hearing the cocking back of a hammer behind him…

All I know is if a Metroid launches with NX it’ll look pretty sick in modern day graphics. Metroid is one of those Nintendo franchises that can afford realistic graphics while letting Samus’ blaster shots look over the top along with alien enemy’s. Sign me up !

Sorry this game has been cancelled do to the rage towards the latest Metroid spinoff title(Prime Federation Force)! Nintendo feels it unwise to continue making games in a series that insights such hatred!
