A Sonic fan game has been really making the rounds in the gaming community, which debuted at the Sonic community’s Sonic Amateur Games Expo, or SAGE for short. Sonic Utopia is a free-world 3D game featuring Classic Sonic. GameXplain uploaded 10 minutes of Sonic Utopia gameplay, which we’ve included down below. Wow, never has a Sonic fan game gotten as much attention as Breath of the Wild.
And it’s annoying. Somebody just said “let’s make an open world Green Hill Zone”. I appreciate the effort, but they never did anything outstanding. There are barely enemies, weak shading….it’s a fan game to LOOKS like a fan game.
Sonic: After the Sequel seemingly got less attention upon reveal. Which sucks because it was easy to see that Sonic: ATS was the near pinnacle of fan game creation at reveal.
