The Pokémon Company International and Nintendo have shipped more than 10 million units of Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon worldwide, setting a new record as the best selling titles in Nintendo 3DS history.
These sales figures represent a 150% increase over the last Pokémon games to launch, Pokémon X and Pokémon Y.
The long-awaited and highly anticipated games have today launched exclusively on the Nintendo 3DS family of systems. We hope that trainers around the world have fun as they begin exploring the Alola region in Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon!

Give sales numbers of the last Pokemon games or this percentage is meaningless. This is just an example but for all we know, the increase is just from only 2 sales.
Well, we know Pokemon x/y sold 4,000,000 at launch so an increase of 150%= ~ 6,000,000
Much better. Is it really that hard for them to do that for people that might not know what the sales of X/Y were? Apparently so. lol
