After long last the highly anticipated open world Zelda adventure The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild has finally gone gold which means that development has been wrapped up. The news was shared on Twitter via Trusted Reviews by Monolith Soft developer Yasuyuki Honne who shared an image of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild development team with Shigeru Miyamoto included.

So late, hope everything is ok and all bugs fixed.
It was delayed to port to switch. Not to fix anything, so it should by fine.
There are bugs even on ports, though I presume at some time it wasn’t considered a port anymore but just ‘the game on the Switch platform’. :)
I’m sure there were bugs on the new hardware as you say, and I suppose you could say that for any port then. :)
Yup, strange it has gone gold less than one month before launch. Though maybe it’s enough time to build 2 million copies of it, should not be complex as making an entire console but probably more than a DVD game.
Actually, the first time it was delayed was to port to the Switch. The second time it was delayed was because they needed to do some hardcore tweaking on the physics engine in th game.
Hmm… perhaps there is some red tape and a period of time the Gold-claim needs verified. Could be that it has been done and the gold rating has now been approved? Just my guess! :)
Well, if that’s the case, maybe we should be worried… if they started porting the game before they even had the physics engine polished.
IDK. We’re probably fine, but who knows anymore.

Oh how long the wait…. I have been waiting for this day for 3 years.
March 3rd can’t get here soon enough. Then again, I’m most likely gonna download the game onto my Switch if I can’t get the Master Edition and there is no telling how long the download is gonna take.

Unless the Switch is a beast when it comes to downloading & if my internet isn’t being a douchebag that day, maybe it’ll still be March 3rd for me. Guess I’ll find out soon enough.
