More news has surfaced on the results of the Nintendo Switch‘s launch sales. Nintendo Australia has announced that “across Australia and New Zealand combined, Nintendo Switch sold more in its launch weekend than any other Nintendo hardware in history”. Even Zelda: Breath Of The Wild broke records in Australia and New Zealand combined, the game breaking Nintendo records for the “best launch weekend sales in the Zelda series’ 30-year history” and the “biggest-selling Nintendo hardware launch title ever in this region”. It is even more shocking that Breath Of The Wild broke the latter record, because the previous holder of the record was none other than Wii Sports.

That’s awfully surprising that it did so well considering how expensive it is here in NZ and AUS, 550 NZD for just the console is absolutely ludicrous…
Guys…. lets not get too excited…… Nintendo Switch in Australia is like $50k
so this probably means they sold 4 consoles
They haven’t given actual figures so all this says is they sold more than usual in a region where there wasn’t an amiibo shortage.
