The Pokémon Company has advised a recall on the cute Pikachu themed batteries over claims that they might be overheating. There’s two lots of batteries, the Pokéball ones and the Pikachu themed ones. The batteries were initially sold only at the Pokémon Center, Pokémon Store, Pokémon Center Online and Amazon in Japan, but have found their way over here in the west via Amazon and eBay. The batteries in question were sold between Sep. 16, 2016, and Feb. 13. 2017. Japanese users can get a refund here or at Japanese Pokémon Centre and Pokémon Store retail locations.

So it’s like the batteries are using thunderbolt! That is so appropriate!
They’ll probably blame porygon.
I’d expect this from Charmander batteries.
Should have been Electrode.
I’m surprised they didn’t make Electrode themed batteries that self-destruct upon dying! Such a huge missed opportunity, guys! lol
