The team over at respected technology publication Digital Foundry have been hard at work testing out the new patch for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and have come away suitably impressed. The framerate in high stress areas in the game has increased from around 25fps (old patch) to 29fps (new patch) on the Nintendo Switch. You can check out their in-depth findings in the video, below.
Digital Foundry: Zelda Breath Of The Wild Patch Framerate Test

Can’t be at a better moment as my Switch comes in 2 days!!! Finally…
A 20% boost in performance in just optimisations and no visual compromises?? Way to go, High Command!
Nice.
The game felt better performance wise after the patch.
Worst place I have visited is the korok village, there even I can see the drop.
I think what they have done so far in optimization is very impressive! Pretty much no drops on 95% of the map! Now they just need to fix that last 5% and everything will be pretty much perfect! I for one am very happy:)
