Published globally by Level-5 abby Layton’s Mystery Journey: Katrielle and The Millionaires’ Conspiracy will launch simultaneously on iOS and Android platforms on July 20, 2017, with a Nintendo 3DS game to follow in autumn 2017 and will be available in eight languages at launch. Over the past ten years, the Professor Layton series has had huge global success selling over 16.0 million units worldwide.
The new title is an exciting departure from previous games in the Professor Layton series as it is made up of a combination of smaller conundrums and puzzles that need to be solved in order to complete the overall mystery. This new format is going to appeal to existing Layton fans as well as attract a brand new audience.
Niiiiiiice. I was expecting it next year at the earliest, so this is a damn fine surprise.
I have a few misgivings about this game, both from a “will it be good?” and “will it sell?” point of view. I hope Level 5 have gone all out on this one and it may end up being my last 3DS game, depending on Nintendo’s continuing support for the console.
Sweet that they’ll release it on the 3DS. Will get this one for sure.
Definitely looking forward to this. Professor Layton VS. Phoenix Wright got me into the series and loved it since.
Make sure you play Professor Layton and the miracle mask & azran legacy. They’re on my list for good Nintendo 3DS: https://www.google.com/search?q=https://answers.yahoo.com/question/index%3Fqid%3D20161221041107AAqiAo0
FYI The 3D effect is great in the Professor Layton games, and the New Nintendo 3DS face-tracking glasses-free stereoscopic 3D really works.
I’m kind of confused, is it coming to Switch? I’ve never played the Layton series, but heard great things!
