If you are looking to pick up NBA 2K18 on the Nintendo Switch then you should be aware that it’s only going to be available digitally on the Nintendo Switch eShop at launch. If you are after a physical edition of the game then you’ll have to wait until the fall. The sporting simulation is listed with a September 19th release date.
NBA 2K18 release on Sep 19th will be digital only for Switch. Physical release will come later
WWE 2K18 Switch version is after PS4/XB1 too

Wow really -_- wonder how much space that’s going to take up
The last game was like 50GB at launch.
Thats a big problem because some people didn’t buy SD card yet or they only have 64GB or 128GB with games already
Wow well hopefully they got some nice workaround for that. The cartridges won’t be able to hold that amount anyway so their really going to have to work on the compression
*facepalm* I won’t be surprised if this negatively effects sales on Switch.
If only this game were good on Switch.
It could be a good game but not like this and I hope they don’t make an excuse about the low sales of Nintendo Switch because the late release and then no more games from them on the next year.
It sucks, but its better to have a simultaneous launch (even of its only physical) than to get delayed all together and not have the option at all to pick it up.
Fans: We want 3rd party support, we will support it if its good and the sales are showing that the Switch is certainly not another Wii U.
3rd parties: We will support the Switch so here are some games that are missing content, not releasing at the same time and are only digital at release. If sales aren’t good enough though we just won’t support the system at all
I’m not the only one seeing the cycle here am I?
You are definitely seeing a cycle.
Nintendo creates hardware that can’t keep up with current gen machines, 3rd party content suffers as a result, sales slow, 3rd party bails.
Rinse, repeat. Good eye!
While I agree some 3rd parties are douchebags, the blame also goes to Nintendo. They know what these 3rd parties want out of a system but refuse to do it because they are obsessed with being different/unique for the sake of being different/unique. In the end, everyone is to blame, even some fans. Taking whatever mediocre thing a company gives you when you know they can do better just gives that company a reason to continue being mediocre.
From what I saw from DocTre81’s video, I assume that Nintendo is creating an expanded game card specially made for third party titles. And theoretically, Take Two is one of them. This could be the reason why NBA 2K18 and WWE 2K18’s physical delay on the Switch. Watch this clip…
