Layers Of Fear: Legacy Coming To Nintendo Switch

The Nintendo Switch is proving to be a haven for a vast number of indie developers and that’s a great thing. The latest game announced for Nintendo Switch is Layers of Fear: Legacy. Here’s the details about the fearsome psychedelic horror title:

• Psychedelic horror – A sense of insanity means each turn of the camera may completely change the look of your surroundings.
• Victorian setting – Explore a game world inspired by masterpiece paintings, architecture and décor from the 19th century.
• Original and classic art – Numerous pieces of original art and music flesh out the story and environment.
• Story-focused exploration – Only through exploring the environment can you uncover the details of the painter’s dark and tragic past.

      1. Are you delusional or something? Who told you i take reviews from IGN? or i take them serious or something? the voices inside your head tell you that? Only Metacritic matters as the official cort for the scores.

And what is the 8.5 you are talking about for ign? it give it 5.8 i already said that didn’t i ?

  1. Go watch the AngryJoes review on the game. He points out a fundamental flaw in the game. You cannot die or lose. There is no game over or character death. That takes away all tension the game tries to create. Not sure why the devs went that direction with game…

You couldn’t die in the Endless Ocean games but that didn’t stop me from hesitating to go into deep, dark crevasses or swim at night in those games. And even when I did gather up the nerve to do it, I still felt pretty tense a lot of times while moving about in the darkness. Besides, there are things far more terrifying than death.

      1. I never played endless oceans but the horror games I have played were always funner when there was a risk of losing. Horror games never truly scare me, I just enjoy playing them. Although ironically enough PT was actually kind of scary and you couldn’t die in that game, however it was just a demo.. go figure

If you are getting a constant stream of scares, you’d wish you could die if only to get a tiny break from them. lol Hence why dying doesn’t always up the scare factor.

Is there ANYTHING special about this Switch port aside from the subtitle? If not, I might as well just get this game on PS4.
