A glorious new poster has been revealed by the Pokemon Company to advertise the upcoming Pokemon Ultra Sun & Moon for the Nintendo 3DS. One of the first things you will notice is that Lillie carries a Pokéball this time around. Pokejungle speculates that this could mean that she has a different role this time around and may actually be a trainer this time. There’s also a number of mysterious figures in the background who will no doubt be revealed soon. Check out the poster for the game, below.
Lily holding a pokeball, interesting.

The dark dudes at the top almost look like an entirely different team/organization
That’s what I was wondering.
Maybe if this was a sequel instead of alternate reality crap, they could have this take place a couple of years later. In fact, it would have been fun to run into Sun/Moon at the end of the game, ala meeting Red at Mt Silver in Gold/Silver. As for where our new character will live, just make a new area where his/her home is like in Black2/White2. They added new areas in these remakes already so this could have been easily done.
the main characters aren’t named sun/moon :v
They are in the Pokemon Adventures manga. For every gen & version, there is a character named after it. Also, if a main character or his/her rival reappear in a future mainline Pokemon game, they are usually named after a gen they appeared in. In the case of the main character & his rival from gen 1, Red (main character) & Blue/Green (his rival.) There are exceptions to this rule but they usually only apply to the remakes (Pokemon Adventures manga related only.)
Of course, Sun & Moon, Black 2 & White 2, & X/Y are odd cases when it comes to the games. With Sun/Moon, there is no rival for us to name; same for X & Y. As for Black 2 & White 2, the Pokemon Generations manga has the main characters of those games named Blake (for Black 2) & Whitley (for White 2.)
I was thinking it could be a sequel also. We saw the tailer with the trash cans from Vermillion city gym… Lillie has a pokeball. Well I’m thinking Lillie comes back from Kanto changed from her experience and maybe brings back the influences of the gyms? I mean it would explain the trainers lined up like a gym path in the trailer with the forest and the trash cans. Though I would love a revisit to kando with the updated graphics.
The poster looks legit. I love the new poster.
I believe the text on the right says “Ultra-ruins begins to set the mystery of necrozma” but I couldn’t figure out the second kanji even though it looks so basic, since I tried using the furigana. someone can correct me with anything I got “ネクロズマの謎にせまるウルトラなほう険がはじまる” from it.
