Nintendo has revealed today that they have shipped an impressive 1.7 million units of the SNES Mini as of September 30th. It isn’t really surprising as as soon as the system is in stock at retailers it is gone within minutes. Nintendo has promised that it will continue producing the system meaning that more shipments should arrive shortly.

Pathetic. The amount they shipped should be a lot higher than that. 5m sounds good.
