Leading up to the worldwide debut of Super Mario Odyssey, Mario and Cappy went on a nationwide tour in a decked-out trailer. They visited various popular U.S. cities, such as Los Angeles, Dallas, Chicago and Philadelphia to meet with more than 200,000 fans, as well as some scenic locations inspired by the various kingdoms from the game to take photos. This real-life odyssey culminated in a party on the streets of New York City the night before launch. In total, the journey spanned over 3,800 miles, 74 cities and one gigantic mushroom.
