The Secret of Mana is one of the best-loved JRPGs on the Super Nintendo and has a wonderful soundtrack. It’s been announced today that the game’s legendary composer Hiroki Kikuta will be helping produce the soundtrack to retro JRPG Hazelnut Bastille on the Nintendo Switch. Kituta will be contributing alongside the game’s main composer, Shannon Mason. As you can see from the gif below the game looks like a classic SNES title so it’s fitting that Mr. Kikuta will be helping out with the soundtrack. Hazelnut Bastille is coming to the Nintendo Switch and PC in 2019.
“Hazelnut Bastille is a wonderful looking retro-style game!” the Japanese composer said in a press release yesterday. “I’m looking forward to being a part of it and hope we can create music that lives up to the rest of the game and everyone’s expectations!”

holy shit this looks great!
