      1. To be honest starlink is not a BAD game. I’ve just spent little time with it and have too much other stuff I’d rather play.
It’s great that Nintendo have done something with Ubisofts game with the addition of starfox to try and keep fans happy, but we all know what we truly want from starfox.
I’m just a little p****ed coz I bought it on release with the add ons which is for collecting.( by the way ). Broke one of the guns because the packaging is practically glued to the parts and then they go and knock 50% off the original price.

Really looking forward to bayanetta and prime though.
And would love a new f Zero and another dk from retro.

      2. Indeed Starlink isn’t a bad game but it feels repetitive sometimes.
I’m glab that Ubisoft has done some free update for adding more content.

Probably a new DK game is on the way but about F-Zero I cannot be 100% sure that Nintendo is working on it. Someone sended a letter, last year, to Nintendo of America about Star Fox and F-Zero, during that period the Team Star Fox wasn’t announce in Starlink, and Nintendo answered that they weren’t working on both franchise but they will consider the requests from fans.

After the letter 2 or 3 month passed and there was the rumour of Star Fox Grand Prix which to me is a strange idea make a Star Fox racing game while there is F-Zero.

      3. I’ve actually read up on this about an apparent axed star fox racing game from retro, but yeah an actual proper f Zero would be so good with online. I loved gx on the GameCube and that was like 20yrs ago nearly. It’s time, it’s time for f zero and starfox to be reignited.

      4. @Bra10do I also would like to see an announce of DK Country game. Another I would to see, is a 3D Donkey Kong since this year is the 20th anniversary of Donkey Kong 64. Hopefully they release a 3D game, even if is Switch remake of DK 64.

  1. God damn! xD Nintendo games are in this like maybe 5 or 6 times! DICE aren’t very big fans of Nintendo, are they? Nothing wrong with that, really. People just like what they like. Of course certain people will feel slighted but sucks for them.

    1. Some would argue Smash Ultimate but having a big roster of characters to choose from isn’t really something new to me. (Warriors Orochi 2 (3 outside of Japan) had over 100 (I think it was around 120 last I checked) characters to choose from. Maybe if Ultimate had brought back every mode, stage, mini-game, & trophies (along with a couple of new modes (which we got), stages, mini-games, & trophies along with the spirits we got), I’d be more inclined to suggest Smash Ultimate. Oh & if they brought back custom moves for non-Mii Fighter characters. (The game falls just a tad bit short of the Ultimate moniker for me.)

So honestly, to answer your question, I got nothing to suggest from Nintendo for nominations as most of the games from them were ports & I don’t think ports of games that came out before 2018 (so therefore are not original 2018 games) should be nominated. Now if they want to add a “Best Port of *insert year here*” award, I’m all for that. As for the non-ports they did release this year, none of them interested me. Not a big Kirby or Yoshi fan (outside of the Super Mario games, that is.)

      1. I wouldn’t be surprised. Like magazines, award ceremonies aren’t always of that year as sometimes the year for them starts in December of 2017 & ends in November of 2018, for example.

    1. Even though Torna: The Golden Country can be played as a standalone game, I guess DICE still considers it as part of Xenoblade Chronicles 2 which came out in 2017 so it’s disqualified since it’s being considered as part of a 2017 game.

I can’t remember which one but there was an awards thingy that gave an award to Witcher 3’s Blood & Wine DLC (which came out a year or two after Witcher 3 released) but that might have been a category for best DLC/Expansion award.

  2. Smash is being overlooked, because Smash Bros on 3DS and Wii U cleaned up the award shows and everyone considers Smash Ultimate a “clone” of the previous entry.

    Poor game is getting shafted.
