SEGA Ages Gain Ground And Puyo Puyo Release Date Announced For West

We finally have release dates for both SEGA Ages: Gain Ground and SEGA Ages: Puyo Puyo for the Nintendo Switch here in the west. You will be able to purchase both games next month which is a nice treat for fans of the classic titles. In the near future we should get dates for Alex Kidd, Columns II, Puyo Puyo 2, Space Harrier, Virtua Racing, Sonic The Hedgehog 2, and Thunder Force AC. Here’s the details for both SEGA Ages: Gain Ground and SEGA Ages: Puyo Puyo

Gain Ground will see the addition of an All-Member Mode that unlocks all 20 characters, along with an Easy Mode if things are a little too difficult or you simply want to enjoy the game casually.

Meanwhile, the Sega Ages release of Puyo Puyo will allow you to try your hand against other players outside your home with Online Play while testing your skills on the leaderboards with the new Ranking System! Note that Nintendo Switch Online is required for online play.

  1. Very nice! Gain Ground is a timeless classic. First came out for Sega System 24 and strived until Sega’s third-generation to its 16-bit home video game console. Of all of Sega’s retro games, Gain Ground’s memorable music score could easily make a fan out of anyone. Glad that Nintendo finally made a version for the Switch. It’s also good that Nintendo decided to bring back the tile-matching video game Puyo Puyo. I’m excited for these two. By the way, did you know that Yakuza 6 also featured Puyo Puyo? Yup. And you can play it by playing its in-game arcade machines.
