The trademark applications just keep coming from Nintendo. Nintendo Co., Ltd has applied for a new trademark for Melmetal, a Pokemon that debuted last year in Pokemon GO and Pokemon Let’s Go Pikachu & Eevee. As for Nintendo’s motive for filing the trademark, the only thing we know is that the trademark is for “purposes related to video games and merchandise”.
