SteamWorld Quest: Hand Of Gilgamech For Nintendo Switch Coming 25th April

SteamWorld Quest is coming to the Nintendo Switch eShop on 25th April ($24.99 / €24.99 / £22.49) The announcement was made today by the game’s developers Image & Form. Here’s a quick overview of what to expect from the card-based RPG:

SteamWorld Quest is the first RPG from Image & Form, and it is switching things up with card-based battles where you build, craft and upgrade your heroes’ decks.

In SteamWorld Quest, you lead a party of aspiring heroes who take on whatever threat comes their way by crafting your own deck of cards—choosing from over 100 unique punch-cards! What awaits you is a luscious treasure chest filled with gold, dragons, vivid worlds, magic, knights in shining armor as well as XP, turn-based combat and all the usuals that RPG fans love! The mix of traditional fantasy and bantering steam-driven robots makes for an unforgettable experience with lots of laughs.

  1. Was just listening to the NVC podcast with Brjann from image and form talk about the release date saying it would be sooner than you’d think. He was right!

  2. I hope this game has an entertaining story. Steamworld dig was all about exploration so it didn’t need it but an RPG definitely needs a compelling story.

  4. Looking good. All SteamWorld games so far were great, so looking forward to play this one as well. Probably gonna wait a bit and hope for a cartridge release, though. SteamWorld Dig 2 got one eventually, so I’m hoping this one will, too, at least as a limited release.
