Microsoft has announced on Minecraft Day that the creative sandbox game has shifted 176 million units worldwide. It was only 7 months ago when we learnt that the game has shifted 156 million. So its popularity hasn’t decreased one bit. The company also announced an AR version of Minecraft called Minecraft Earth. This enables you to craft and build objects and place them in the real world, solo or with friends. More details on that here but its launching in closed beta this summer and sounds impressive from previews.
