Activision looking at new content for Crash and Spyro and more remasters of other games coming

In the company’s latest investors call, Activision has revealed that due to the success of Crash Bandicoot .N Sane Trilogy, Crash Team Racing: Nitro-Fueled and the Spyro Trilogy Reignited they are looking to create new content for those franchises. Activision also says that they are looking to create more remasters following the success of the aforementioned games. They have plenty of games in their back catalogue, so which they decide to pursue remains to be seen.

      1. I want you two to take a moment and ask yourselves what the odds were that I was being serious, rather than jokingly listing games that weren’t well received when they were new, so would almost certainly have no real audience for a remake.

New content? Like more tracks? Stages?

Also another remastered? Let me guess. Crash Bash?

I hope they make a new Crash game instead of a remastered, not because those remastered aren’t good but it feels like the series is stuck in the PS1 and everything is just forgotten

          1. I heard & it’s fucking bullshit. Activision basically said we’ll release games making you think it won’t be a bunch of bullshit then patch the bullshit in later after you already bought it. When you start doing things that make you WORSE than EA, you know you’ve fucked up. Rockstar with their bullshit & 2K with theirs in regards to Bioshock 3 is just terrible. It seems nearly every American company is going down the gutter. If it’s not political agendas, it’s greedy shit like this.

            1. They did this with the last CoD as well. They think they’re so smart. Printing a lot of game covers which don’t state it has microtransactions, and then add it later. Got all the good reviews before ruining the experience with microtransactions and a ton more grind. This must be borderline illegal.

          2. Why not just go all out and make a complete new Spyro/crash entry. If there’s good enough success with remasters of old games then something new would be a sound follow up. I’m interested.

          3. At this point, they already finished up all the big/good titles (Crash 1, Cortex Strikes Back, Warped, Crash Team Racing, Spyro 1, Ripto’s Rage, Year of the Dragon)

            So what’s left:
            -Crash Bash
            -Wrath of Cortex
            -Crash Boom! Bang!
            -Crash of the Titans
            -Mind Over Mutants
            -Enter the Dragonfly
            -A Hero’s Tail
            -Legend of Spyro Trilogy
-The recent Skylanders franchise, that all but killed ehatever was left of both worlds

Of course, there are the GBA games to consider as well:
            -Huge Adventure
            -Season of Fire
            -Season of Ice
            -Attack of the Rhynocs
            -The two Crash/Spyro crossover games

Out of every game on this list, which ones actually merit full remastered treatment?

            1. Personally, I’d like if Activision (or whatever studio made those Crash and Spyro remasters) team up with Rare LtD. (at least when/if they go multi-platform or let Nintendo buy the rights back) to make remasters of their N64 titles (such as the first two Banjo-Kazooie Games, DK64, and maybe even another remake of Conker’s Bad Fur Day).

I mean how amazing would those games look with Pixar-quality animation?
