The new entry to the popular Puzzle & Dragons series for the Nintendo Switch will be available in Japan next January. The Puzzle & Dragons Gold news was announced in the latest edition of Japanese publication CoroCoro Comic. Here’s the details from this month’s edition of CoroCoro Comic courtesy of Gematsu.
Puzzle & Dragons Gold is about going for the gold medal. Players will battle through the in-game tournament while aiming for the top. The battle format is two-person matches, in which “super realistic” monsters move about. The story mode, which is different from the manga and anime, stars Taiga Akaishi and Dragon as the protagonists. Matsuhara, Shin, Sakura, Yukichi, and Ryuuji will also appear.
