Nintendo has just released a brand new update for the Nintendo Switch‘s firmware, bringing the firmware to 9.1.0. This update isn’t major. It has the usual “general system stability improvements to enhance the user’s experience”, according to the official patch notes, but Nintendo also says that they “resolved an issue where the color animation was not displaying correctly when attaching a Joy-Con controller to the Nintendo Switch console”.

Glad the joy con colours are going to be back, I missed that little touch
So glad the Joy-Con color animation was a glitch. I was afraid they removed that awesome feature. I like the fact the system knows what color the Joy-Con is when you attach it to the Switch.
Yeah, it’s those little things. I think the Switch in your room in Sword ‘n’ Shield also has the same colours as your joy-cons.
So if I change my Joy-Cons colors, the Joy-Cons in the game will also change? That’s a neat little feature!
