Japan: new My Nintendo smartphone app now available

A new My Nintendo app has been released on Android and iPhone in Japan. The app allows players to view/purchase software, check their play records from Wii U, 3DS and Switch when the app is linked to their Nintendo Network ID. A cool feature is the QR scanner: heading to a Nintendo event and scanning the QR code there will check the user in and most likely offer some sort of reward for going. Some events like Gamescom have employed this idea already but without the use of an easy-to-use app.

The app also gives users the option to rewatch past Nintendo presentations.

We’ll be sure to let you know if this app is released in other territories, but for now, it seems to be Japan only.

  1. Hope they release everywhere. I wonder if the playtime will let you look at every game you have and not just the last 20 and also in smaller increments then every 5 hours like on Switch. Always been a bit annoying that.

  2. That be nice, if only the reward items where worth getting, majority of NOA rewards are litterally stuff you print out, your better off going on google and printing out fanmade stuff than using points from nintendo, I really want a better reboot of My Nintendo.
