    1. I’m really not sure why people keep asking this as long as MK8 is popping up in the charts. Nintendo is selling MK8 and they wanna keep selling MK8 because why not? What exactly is it you people expect from MK9? it might not look that much different than MK8, it might not play different enough to really justify that change of the number, but above all, it just wouldn’t make sense as long as they make money with this 6 yr old game.
I mean it would make sense that Nintendo realized how insanely long a Mario Kart game can sell now and create something thats more like a game-as-a-service-thing. Nooo not MK Tour, but just something that can be expanded in years to come in a way that makes sense. I mean GTAV proves that this can work out even better.
But still, MK8 is a freaking cash cow, so why on eart would you just cannibalize these sales with another game and even risk people getting pushed back by that new game, stopping to buy anything at all? they’re gonna milk the MK cow until people lose interest and that’s also exactly just as long as they might take to come up with a good and worthy idea for the next game.
